SWISS Pavilion at Mass-Trans Innovation Japan


Mass-Trans Innovation Japan 2021 (MTIJ2021) will take place at Makuhari Messe from 24th  to 26th  of November.

Mass-Trans Innovation Japan is Japan’s largest and one and only comprehensive trade fair on the railway industry, where you will discover all railway related technologies such as rolling stocks and structures, operation management, passenger facilities, tracks, and civil engineering at once.

Swiss companies in the railway sector have a long experience and are constantly improving existing technologies. Additionally, the fast development of new technologies in many sectors also finds its way in different applications in the railway sector. High tech applications in the field of automation, AI, sensor technology, robotics, green energies (hydrogen) and many others are utilized in the rail sector. Many of these newly developed technologies could also be of interest to the Japanese market.

Due to the concerning pandemic situation, this year at MTIJ2021, 11 Swiss companies will be exhibiting at the SWISS Pavilion booth to visually showcase their outstanding innovation, technologies and products. Save the date, we are very delighted to have this opportunity to introduce some advanced Swiss railway technologies which will make a future safer and cleaner.

Company Description

Hürlimann Railtec AG is a sister company of Hürlimann Bautenschutz AG, established in 2017. It is a young and dynamic company, developing ballast bonding technology. Hürlimann Railtec AG first bonded ballast in 2014 using a collaborative in-house innovation with Hürlimann Bautenschutz AG. In 2017, they developed the first machine prototype for automatic application of polyurethane binding.

This development enables to control ballast bonding under any challenging conditions and its resistance is up to 80 km/h. Their automated ballast bonding application is truly unique.
