Mass-Trans Innovation Japan 2021 (MTIJ2021) will take place at Makuhari Messe from 24th to 26th of November.
Mass-Trans Innovation Japan is Japan’s largest and one and only comprehensive trade fair on the railway industry, where you will discover all railway related technologies such as rolling stocks and structures, operation management, passenger facilities, tracks, and civil engineering at once.
Swiss companies in the railway sector have a long experience and are constantly improving existing technologies. Additionally, the fast development of new technologies in many sectors also finds its way in different applications in the railway sector. High tech applications in the field of automation, AI, sensor technology, robotics, green energies (hydrogen) and many others are utilized in the rail sector. Many of these newly developed technologies could also be of interest to the Japanese market.
Due to the concerning pandemic situation, this year at MTIJ2021, 11 Swiss companies will be exhibiting at the SWISS Pavilion booth to visually showcase their outstanding innovation, technologies and products. Save the date, we are very delighted to have this opportunity to introduce some advanced Swiss railway technologies which will make a future safer and cleaner.

| Company Description | Speno International S.A. was established in 1960 and offers rail grinding service, manufacturing, selling and maintenance of rail grinding machine. As a pioneer of head check detection, until today, they continue to innovate such as world-first contactless measurement with longitudinal technique, on-board metal removal measurement in which enables to eliminate the burden for operators, and milling prevention. Nippon Speno KK (local entity in Japan) was founded in 1987, with its wide network, has supplied almost 70 rail grinding machines to Japanese customers since its establishment and about 50 machines are currently operational in Japan. They supply of 29 rail grinding machines for major railway companies, as well rail grinding operation, technical support and maintenance.
